Robert is quoted in this article talking about how flavor comparisons between certain beer styles (from gluten-containing to gluten-free) can be difficult when using similar names. An example of this is say a Hefeweizen, which requires wheat to be brewed traditionally. If you say, substituted some of that wheat for lentils – you would need to call it a Hefelinsen instead of trying to call it a Hefeweizen since it doesn’t use traditional ingredients indicative of the style.
